Before You Embroider

What is included in a design?

These are digital machine embroidery files. The product page lists the included sizes, formats and any complementary parts of the design. No clothing or physical item is shipped.

How do I choose a file format?

Check your machine manual and embroidery software documentation. Then confirm that the format you need is included for your chosen size or part. A format being included does not establish compatibility with every embroidery machine.

Does the size label specify the hoop?

Size labels are nominal labels from the source files. Actual width × height measurements are listed separately in millimetres and inches. Compare the dimensions of your chosen file with the usable embroidery area of your machine and hoop.

What is the difference between sizes and complementary parts?

Sizes offer different dimensions of a design. Complementary parts combine to form the design and are not interchangeable. The product page identifies these cases. Size links let you view the measurements; they do not change what is included in your purchase.

How do I prepare the files?

If the files are supplied in an archive, extract it and read the accompanying information. Some formats are divided into several files. Check that they belong to the correct size or part of the design before using them.

Does the preview show a stitched sample?

The current previews are simulations of the design made from the source files. They are not photographs of stitched samples and do not guarantee a result on a particular fabric or material.
