Embroidery File Formats and Dimensions
Before choosing a design, check its file formats and actual dimensions. The product page lists the files available for each size or part of the design.
Identify the formats your machine supports
Check your machine manual and embroidery software documentation for supported formats. A format being included in a design does not establish compatibility with every machine model.
A format shown in the filters may be included for only some sizes. Check the row for the size or part you want, then its details by format.
Compare the actual dimensions
Width × height measurements are shown in millimetres and inches on the product page. Size names are source labels: they do not necessarily specify the actual design dimensions or the hoop to use.
Reference measurements come from the audited PES files. The details by format identify known differences in dimensions or orientation. Compare the dimensions of your chosen file with the usable embroidery area of your machine and hoop.
Check special cases
Some formats are divided into several files. Some parts combine to form a design and are not interchangeable sizes. The product page identifies these cases.
When a product page includes VIP files with a verification note, those files could not be verified with the reader used for the audit. Check their compatibility in your embroidery software before use.
Previews are simulations of the design. They are not photographs of stitched samples and do not guarantee a result on your fabric or material.
